About the Church
On December 9th 1994, while teaching in my classroom at Graham and Parks School in Cambridge, Massachusetts, I, Marie Philomene Etienne Joseph had an encounter with God through a vision to go to my forefather's farm to Evangelize and Alphabetize. It was until August 1998 that I went to conduct a survey in the community.
The first week of my visit, with the help of some brothers and sisters from a church in Cap-Haitian, we conducted a three days of prayer on the farm. Then, we went for an outreach in the neighborhood for about a week, there were fifteen saved souls. Thus, on Sunday 16th 1998, we met under a mango tree on the land; we had our first worship service to God.
Then over the years, we went from under a mango tree, to under a tent made of coconut tree leaves, to a garage, then to the school cafeteria on Sundays.
We have witnessed many in the community that God's Grace has touched. They proclaimed their faith by getting baptized and thrived to live according to the precepts of God. We also celebrated weddings of couples with children, that were living together for many years.
In 2010, we started the construction of a Church so that the community can have a decent place to worship God. That Church building is almost ready for the congregation to go to worship and praise God, listen to the preaching of the Gospel, and have fellowship with one another.
